Today I was inspired, once again, by a post shared over at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads — this time written by Margaret. She shared a series of video clips from artist Maria Wulf. The short videos show everyday moments from the farm where Maria lives and works. They are natural, beautiful moments where nature and those that live in it are captured. I was transfixed by these moments, and promptly went out into my backyard and filmed a short clip of my own. Here it is.
After recording it, I sat down on the swinging wooden bench and wrote a bit of haiku. It was what the moment seemed to call for. I call it Writing Space.
Walking in this space
surrounded by quiet trees
breezes blow, leaves sway
Clouds move through clear sky
seeping patches of bright sun
Turn my eyes upwards
light spins, dances through white clouds
spilling on my toes
